Our Overview

This ministry was established in October 6th, 1986 by the General Church Council under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Olutumayin. The Coordinator are as follows:

  1. Late Rev. Ayet Zemo – 1989-1997
  2. Nuhu Leo – 1997-2006
  3. Ishaku Yaro – 2006- 2023
  4. Musa Chori – 2024- date

For decades Children Ministry in ECWA has been managed by other para-church organization and many teachers in ECWA were trained by them. This reached a point we experienced clashes among ECWA Members who were working among children, because of the different type of children organization controlling our LCs. We were able to curtail this problem by introducing our training and Sunday school teaching materials to date.

Children ministry does not just function during Sunday school but has grown to have Vocational Bible School (VBS), and Short term mission during long vocations.

The vision of the children for Christ (CFC) rekindled in ECWA from the ECWA Executive and gets the support and the approval of ECWA General Church Council.
